We are facing radical challenges. As individuals, as community, as society, as humanity.We are being called to pause and rethink. Let go of the attachment to reliability towards creatively co-creating a new way. KiezBurn is not just a physical space. To “burn” is a state of mind.
Kiez Burn amid change
KiezBurn has not been canceled - It has transformed and it is up to us how we will shape it to respond. How are we going to lead us through this change?How can we use this to bring us closer together and make us stronger? How to harness that uniquely human paradox in living more empowered lives in even the most vulnerable-making circumstances?
Dreams and Art are very special elements of our lives and KiezBurn, where we co-create a supportive environment for Self Expression of Art that provides connecting opportunities...and during these times we need that more than ever.
The initiative
We would like to create a Dreams Platform for dreams and projects that connect during these times. That brings us closer together. That express our being artistically. From funding to skills, we want to enable a way :)

Open Questions
How do we set up the platform so people can easily donate to the different causes? (there was the idea to build in a donate button for every dream)
Is the Dreams Platform best suited for people to volunteer in helping out others’ Dreams? (there is the button to “volunteer now”, but probably could be placed in a better place)
What is the criteria for dreams to be uploaded?
How can we ensure transparency?

I think it's a wonderful idea. It shouldn't be too hard to set up and get rolling, but I think that needs the opinion of our Dream Platform Robot Meister @Flo !
As far as I could tell, only the application questions and guidelines needs to be changed in order to technically have the dreams platform running for this.
The guidelines to support Dreamers to set everything up would need to be set-up. I would think that the best thing would be to collect video tutorials on - "How to set up a gofundme, kickstarter etc", as well as "setting up a paypal money-pool". These videos can be easily found and don't need to be made, just put in a place where the dreamers can easily find it.
I have found out that money earned from crowdfunding of this kind technically counts as income. Which means that the Dreamers would theoretically need to keep their receipts and managed their bookeeping in order in order to prove that there was no 'net' income, so as to avoid having to pay income tax on the money. (Just like freelancers, small business owners and Kiez burn have to do). This is only necessary if the Finanzamt perform an individual audit, which is highly unlikely with low-income bracket persons. Still, good practice pays off if you ever want to not be in the low-income bracket.
I would personally be resistant to restricting who can upload a dream. In my opinion part of the beauty of the Dreams Platform is that the Gifter can make their own decision as to whether the Dreamer is reliable and trustworthy enough to fulfill their Dream without being audited by other members of the community. This also minimizes the amount of work volunteers need to do.
I would love to help out with this in some way, as it resonates with a proposal I was considering for KB2019 anyways, and I would like to support experimenting with this method of Direct-Art-Grants (DAGs).
For the time being I would offer to make a video to help explain to Dreamers how to handle their expenses on their side (how to organize receipts, what to be mindful of, best practices etc). This I believe to both be legally responsible and also personally empowering, as taking control of your finances can be the final crutch in experiencing the next level of Freedom.

Love the idea @Daisy ! unfortunately I can't really help setting this up technically. But if we find someone who can I could help with communicating, texts, design or something similar. Love to keep dreams alive in a way we wouldn't have thought a few weeks ago.

I really like this initiative. Who knows what kind of fun ways we could find to connect during these days? I think for example of Bruno's Bamory, that could send people on the street on an individual audio journey while still feeling connected through distant interactions (e.g. "now wave to the person across the river who is also hearing the same now on their audio journey")
The changes I would see desired to the Dreams platform:
do away with the whole voting thing
the application form needs to be simplified massively
we do need some guidelines, I think, on what we want to see here (e.g. is "donate to person X who cannot do live performances anymore" enough or do we want something like "donate for a live performance that will stream then"?)
Integration with existing platforms would be super cool. For example in the application form, people could indicate a way that people can support them, this could be Paypal, gofundme,.... and then, when people insert a link to that platform, it would automatically appear in the Dream as a button-link
