W walto Public Seen by 25

We want to upgrade to Loomio 2.0.

Who?

  • Lead: Tobias
  • Guide: Henrik
  • support: Waldo

Why?

There are many new features, including:

  • rich text editor
  • timeline
  • better polls & proposals
  • better search

Upcoming:

  • mobile app
  • real-time collaborative editing

Tasks

  • figure out a way for people to easily join&search (sub-)groups of previous year(s)
  • One step: (1) move to new virtual machine (2) Loomio 2.0 update
  • make a redirection page so traffic is blocked while upgrading (so database doesnt change while doing so)
  • Proposal Henrik: Include Mamoto tracking (discussion see other thread)

Hello Robot Ministers!

I have come to learn - because I would like the burner community in Johannesburg, South Africa, to move to Loomio and have their own ´talk.joziburners.org portal.

Please can you guide me to some preparatory reading?

@abelstobias there seems to be an agreement to include Matomo. So let's do it. I will anonymize Matomo tomorrow. Cheerio!

Thank you @Tibo for bringing us into the new decennium with loomio 2.0!

Where the new Loomio kinda fails is that we are not able to search among ALL groups, and only within certain groups. This makes the topic that @Tibo brought up to enable an easier access to the archives (2019 & 2018) all the more relevant...

Hey darlings -I think that this is mentioned above - first THANK YOU for all your hard work on the new TALK, yay! However, for some reason I don't have the ability to reach old posts like this one: https://talk.kiezburn.org/g/3OjlZBt8/kiez-burn-campout-burning-camel I want to drop it into Realities for the next person who takes on this campout.. but not 100% sure how to reach the info.

Hey, hope this is the right place, I was wondering if it is possible to add a title to a deliberation? Often when I look at the needs there are so many links and it's hard to know what's what

Hey robots
loomio 2.0 is running (so far well) with some later copy of our database on:
talk2.kiezburn.org

We're aiming to do the switchover this friday, where we would migrate the database again and from then redirect the traffic from the old domain. Untill then it would be really nice if you have a look at the new version and test it. Is there stuff missing or not working? How do you like it? thank you for your feedback

that would be nice! Then you basically have a task list integrated into Loomio! We have made some designs where the tasks are displayed on the right of the thread... Might be an interesting idea?
