KorgJorg Report - Request/idea

VRS Veroca R. Sala Public Seen by 52

Hey, this proposal is rather a request.

I have been diving into documentation and stuff trying to find basic info from the 2021 event and it is very hard (as expected). Shall we make this simpler? read on...

The problem:

  • Important and super basic information about the Burn seems to get lost in decentralization and it is hard to collect the data after some time.

  • Our documentation questionnaire to realizers doesnt seem to work the way we wish to. People dont have/ dont take the time to write up the whole process, which is a pity, but it is what it is!

I hope we can change that in the future, meanwhile, I believe some info to be very key and important when planning the event year by year, and my memory doesnt work that well anymore, I can't ever remember anymore the exact dates of Kb 2021...

The idea/ solution:

  • The Korg-Jorg could fill in the sheet, or ask the realizers to answer a few simple questions.

  • Answers to these questions could give us a very general overview of each year`s event in one place.

  • The sheet would be a space for numbers and not for reflections or long descriptions of processes.

  • The idea is that we look at it and anybody could see how did the event go each year.

See the sheet with questions >>> Korg Report main event

Disclaimer:

Im not part of the Korg, that is why I propose/ request this. I hear your opinions. Will this be too much work? Is the team willing to take this on?

Thank you for reading ❤️

I would like to think that a proper on-boarding would encourage people to document what they do for a given role in Google Docs. At the end of the day, we can’t make anyone do anything, but we can try to demonstrate how cool and mega-awesome it is if they do document their work a bit. 😁

Yeah I also hope so.

Have you checked the sheet? Don't you think that having these numbers there would be easier than having to go through the documentation of each year and each need to find these?

But maybe not. 🤷

I like the sheet, I think it collects interesting small bits of info, and I would not be opposed to filling that out at the end of an event as a Korgi. I think I misunderstood and was thinking you were hoping to squeeze out information about/for the Realizers in order for the Realizers for the next year to have the information needed to fulfill their role, which this sheet is clearly not detailed enough for. But this would definitely be good context for Korgis.
