At least if we end up going back to Freiland, then this shift would mean we couldn't have music - as the direction seems to be that music during the week is a bigger issues with neighbors than music on the weekend.

Afaik we never had issues with weekend warriors either, so I'd prefer sticking with the previous Wed to Sun.

Another sweet idea which I would love to happen. But I am self employed (so are you @chmac) and I assume many k-burners aren't (I believe the numbers are in the census)

A weekdays only event would be harder to attend by community members who have to take vacation to attend (regularly there are about 27 days of vacation per year).

I do agree that we need more people-power on build and strike, but this measure could violate the principle of radical inclusion.

We thought about starting earlier, but that would require build to start during the weekdays in the week before and that is challenging. From an organizational POV, it makes build much harder, therefore I would advise against it. starting on the Wednesday helps to have a full 4-5 days of build with lots of people involved. Changing it to Monday start, would mean that you only have 2 days of build.

Also, I dont feel it solves a real problem.

If issues arise because of the Wed-Sun timing, focus on different, more positive efforts how to solve them. If there are any issues at all. I would also see inclusion as a problem, as well as sound/neighbour related issues. CJ: Thanks for the sound meter readings. Would be amazing if we can clearly document to authorities that the neighbours complain about nothing (35db).

As mentioned, it would make things harder for people working classic office hours.
However I do like the idea in terms of having more people during build/strike, and am curious as to the effect it would have on the organisation globally!
As I'm lucky enough to not be impacted either way, I'll abstain and be happy with the community's decision :)

I like this idea but I will vote against because I still hope to have sound for 2 nights and if the Burn doesn’t include a Friday and Saturday night I think it will be tougher. Also, although I make my own work schedule many others do not, and need the weekend to reduce their vacation days taken.
