Dates for Precompression

H Henrik 馃 Public Seen by 51

We blocked B&B from Friday the 26th of April until Saturday afternoon, 27th of April. Thanks for all your input and votes!

Hey peeps,

we checked with our Birgit & Beer connection for a Precompression in April and they currently have the following dates free:

Fr 12.04. & Sa 13.04.
Fr 26.04. & Sa 27.04.
And possibly Fr 19.04. & Sa 20.04.

Since the Decompraiser itself at B&B was wonderful in so many ways, including our communication and connection with the B&B team, I'd love to host another event at this location. As always, it's better to come to a decision sooner than later to block the dates. I'm suggesting that we will decide the dates on our first meeting in early February.

love & cheers

Agreed. Excellent stuff. I vote for the 26th or 27th, it's the weekend before mine and Franzi's birthday and we will happily hijack it (I'm not German so I can celebrate my birthday early). I guess a poll would be a good idea, but we would need a decision pretty quickly.

Nice one. I would suggest not the weekend of the 19.04 as thats easter weekend

1 - Fr 26.04. & Sa 27.04.
2 - Fr 19.04. & Sa 20.04.
3 - Fr 12.04 & Sa 13.04

In the first place, the later it is, the more likely it is to be warmer. the weekend of the 26/27th will also be a long weekend due to Mayday and we can really enjoy ourselves. And the President and Treasurer of KB e.V also have their birthdays that week. May the heavens continue to align! (a.k.a May Flow be with us).

1 - Fr 12.04 & Sa 13.04
2 - Fr 19.04. & Sa 20.04.
3 - Fr 26.04. & Sa 27.04.

Who wants to be the third choice anyway? Afrikaburn is on from the 28th so i abstain from doing a number 3

As my birthday is on the 5th I vote for the 12th / 13th :D
But I will hijack the party for my birthday any way as long as it is in April :P

Any of the dates is fine for me, really.

Omg so excited!

Note Afrikaburn starts on 29th April, which would preclude some of the keenest, most active burners frpm 26/27th

Carsten Tue 22 Jan 2019 4:08PM

Yes please this is an important consideration for all the travelling hippies

Alex Kaos Tue 29 Jan 2019 12:24PM

I personally think it's unlikely we'll lose enough people to Afrika Burn to worry about it. We had 800 people last time anyway! I say book it ASAP or risk losing it.

Erin Jeavons-Fellows Wed 30 Jan 2019 10:58PM

agree with Alex here

CJ Yetman Thu 31 Jan 2019 5:49PM

LOL... wasn't Fr 12.04 & Sa 13.04 the winner of the poll?

Henrik 馃 Thu 31 Jan 2019 6:13PM

You're right. But the poll wasn't meant to be the decision, it's more a "Round of Advice" (as it's called by Borderland). We percieved both weekends as being about equally prioritized, as there wasn't a significant favor of one over the other.

CJ Yetman Thu 31 Jan 2019 6:53PM

works for me... my pref was 26/27 :-) just looked funny with this giant bar chart at the top showing 12/13 as the top choice and 26/27 as the last

Henrik 馃 Thu 31 Jan 2019 7:20PM

=D true. If you look closely then you'll see that 26/27 was picked as a first choice by 7 people - just as many as the weekend of 12/13 (which was the preferred second choice =D)

CJ Yetman Thu 31 Jan 2019 7:32PM

yeah, I looked closely... data is my native language. In ranked choice voting, you have multiple choices so that 2nd, 3rd, nth choices are also taken into account in terms of overall preference/optimal utility
