Dream Guides Manual & Dreams Discussion

W walto Public Seen by 86

As a dream guide, you help artists and creatives realize their dreams. Without you, no single art project will be approved to be eligible for voting. You are an important person in this whole flow!

  1. Sign up to be a dream guide here (no certification needed)

  2. check the DREAM GUIDE MANUAL

  3. Follow-up with the dreamer if there are issues

  4. Dream guides discuss individual dreams and statuses here: https://talk.kiezburn.org/d/TjVnE9Ak/dream-guides-manual-dreams-discussion?fbclid=IwAR160iWu4hlolqThpA-d-q0lDav4Utul3u_kArSRwFEIBRnvi7mNg3iUIeQ

  5. If all good, you approve the dream for granting/voting here

  6. there are other things, to be found in the DREAM GUIDE MANUAL ;)

Since we need more dream guides, a little (sneaky) tip: when you sign up to do a dream, let the dreamer know and maybe the dreamer wants to be a dream guide for another dream?

Hey, I'm posting here because I wasn't sure where to post. In one of the manuals (too confusing already, not sure by now which one) it is mentioned that you can play with your dream being hidden/public. I don't think we have this option, so maybe would be good to have one (to be able to edit the Dream before making it public, or edit it with other people who are part of the project), or, edit the manual to go accordingly.
There are also other parts of that manual/guidelines which are not relevant, and show of a clear copy-paste energies ;) So, if someone who pushed for this platform and change is willing to do it, I think it would be nice to make the small necessarily edits and not leave the current copy-pasted text. It was a weird feeling to see "Borderland" mentioned a few times in the text - and maybe even highly confusing for people who are not part of the Org.
Thanks!

Edit - OK, now I see that only Waldo is in this thread...

Hi folks! We are completely live with the process, in a way that I believe is rather clear:
1. sign up on the spreadsheet
2. following the guidelines, follow-up/discuss/approve art grant for eligibility for voting
3. Tech grants "eligible for voting" status on dreams

Ok, discovered the topic, it was in the other thread: https://talk.kiezburn.org/d/IfeZXG9a/manual-for-dreamers-read-this-if-you-want-to-submit-a-dream

Made a quick check as well to make sure the two documents are aligned btw.

I think this is a very good point, we should further improve this text. I did a quick check for "Borderland" and only found one mention for this, which is on top as part of the resources.

I am personally currently struggling with having enough time/resources to be closely involved in editing how the dream guides should work. I have made some quick edits now, but would generally, very much be very happy for you or others to add to this text or give comments in the doc :) The google doc is open for edits.

Melina, I am not sure why this happened but here's a quick fix. Reduce your minimum by the amount needed until your goal is reached.

@melinamoeller are you sure? https://dreams.kiezburn.org/dreams/68 still looks funded... and above minimum?
