Do we want to make this a fundraising event?

There are a variety of options available to us for our location. If we decide to mix it up and not have it again at Birgit & Bier (because of the tourist factor and for a bit of variety) then we may not be able to make this a fundraiser.... or maybe it would only be a smaller amount of funds we would raise.
The amount we pay is based on the location.
For example: Anomolie is providing an awesome space but its more expensive. See location thread here for more info on costs: https://talk.kiezburn.org/d/F6osKUgc/location

Alex Cuthbertson should be able to shine some light on the funds situation after KB.

We are asking the community, would it be OK for us not to raise funds for KiezBurn and just have a party?

The Finances for Kiez Burn are not yet finalized.
I am currently about 50% of the way through, but with no strange anomalies or large expenses, and very likely a little money left over (I will not be posting any estimates or figures on that point until they are finalized and not subject to subjectivity).

There will need to be a discussion as to what happens to these funds. one proposal could be as a contribution to the Decom party. Another would be to refund KBORG memebers that have LOST money for a variety of reasons in service (as opposed to voluntary participation) to the event. Another is that many of the dreamers are over-budget (the Gate being the first major case that pops to mind) that could use some extra financial support.
My personal vote goes to all 3. But it is a community decision and needs to be expanded before any action is taken.

One way or another, it is highly unlikely that we will require a fundraiser for this event. And my personal vote goes towards a much more Burn-orientated party. We can shift the focus of Decompraiser ---->> Decompression. Let's make it beautiful :D x

@alexxx says he won't have the final figures until the end of August, and it could be a lot less by then (because of dreams refunding). Renting Anomalie for 12k is out of our range. We should have 3-5k to play with.

Update from Alex (kiez Burn Finance)
https://talk.kiezburn.org/d/F6osKUgc/location/27
"Erin that sounds absolutely amazing. I am so for this option, and the split should be fine, we can likely subsidize art genres from the precom budget remaining (and we didn't even spend 1000€ on art grants at the precom).
Maybe a proposal should be made (from this specific post) and shared with the community to get some feedback? There's a small chance something better might turn up but this already send pretty awesome to me . Thank you!"

Think its nice for us not necessarily to make this a fundraiser but just a community event!
Please if anyone has any objections or other thoughts, express them now or we shall move ahead

Hey Erin, this wasn't discussed last night I believe. So will it be a fundraiser? or what to do we do with the money collected?

It is not gonna be a fundraiser. Nobody expressed concerns. We use our energy to make this a great event without the objection of bringing more money to KB.

anomolie is still an option with a door split and no rental fee :)

Well that makes that much simpler. I would support Remy's suggestion that we shouldn't be using the Kiez Burn money FOR the decom. It should be it's own bubble of Finances, with whatever we get on the door going towards the art.

50% of 500 people at 10€ per head = 2500€
Minus Taxes (if we go that route) = 2025€ for projects / costs.

Not everyone has handed in their costs/receipts for Träume for the precom, but it came to roughly 700€.

so even if only 250 people turn up (I would recommend private facebook event where the guests can invite others), we would still have about 1000€ for Art Grants. Easy
