Tamar Regev Thu 15 Aug 2019 5:15PM

I am looking for someone to lead the greeters - greeters ritual and cooperation with deco!

Kris Thu 15 Aug 2019 8:52PM

I did tix for Borderland, happy to do that again. (Or even better - guide that, we need need more knowledge sharing for BL next year)

Tamar Regev Fri 16 Aug 2019 12:04PM

That is great @saskia31 what do u think

Tamar Regev Sat 17 Aug 2019 10:51AM

Kris I am happy you are on board. If you could simply do ticketing id be very happy. Do you need a co lead?

Purzel Mon 19 Aug 2019 11:27AM

Is the Fire lead just about keeping it safe in cooperation with the club owners and the artists? If yes, I could do that as I have some experience when it comes to stuff like this. :)

Cris Mon 19 Aug 2019 1:20PM

Thank you, @kris for the ticket offer!
Although.., don't take me wrong but, do we need it? Maybe I'm saying bullshit here, but wont it be just buying the ticket at the gate, like in previous decompressions? I thought I read "cashiers" some where.
Or do you want to do pre-sale?

Shannon Turner Tue 20 Aug 2019 5:50PM

Hiya! Elena Haffmans, Christina Ariaz, and I would really like to take the lead on the opening ceremony. We have been chatting a lot lately about rituals and decided this is the perfect opportunity to put some ideas into action :)
(Elena and I were also part of co-creating the opening, closing, and solstice rituals at Bivrost this year)

Erin Jeavons-Fellows Wed 21 Aug 2019 10:47AM

Amazing Shannon! Ill add you on facebook so I can add you to the leads chat on messenger

Saskia Sat 17 Aug 2019 8:41AM

I don't see why my think is necessary here. I'd love for @kris to do ticketing and I would love for Kris to have step back to colead / guide and help someone else get ticketing.

None of that needs my approval tho. <3

But here's to @kris - that'd be amaaaazing! Should Tamar continue to find a person who is keen to learn ticketing? I think currently there is no one to do tickets otherwise you could guide.

Cris Mon 26 Aug 2019 2:02PM

@melindagonzalez and me are very interested!

Kris Tue 20 Aug 2019 12:55PM

Usually pre-sales are good to minimize the risk if you buy a bunch of stuff and no-one shows up, but since it's co-created I guess the only expense is renting the venue? Unless there's art grants? It's also nice for compulsive planners like myself who don't like the idea of not getting in.

Erin Jeavons-Fellows Thu 15 Aug 2019 2:59PM

@verocarsala Amihay and Bee have said they would like to do this. Have you been in touch?

Kris Sat 17 Aug 2019 9:41AM

I just need enthusiastic consent, and someone to edit the group context :)

But cool, then I'll contact the Borderland port to get the check-in devices and @plomlompom about finances. I'll also try to do some recruiting for lead/co-lead around the Borderland and the new burners out of bounds nerd group (some programming skills is preferred). (If someone ticket curious reads this get in touch though.)

I'm doing CCCamp and Burning Man back to back starting next week, so intermittently online. In Berlin sometime after September 10th.

Nice, I think if we want to do tickets maybe it can be on eventbrite? i like the idea of
1. leaving all money at home
2. presale discount of 12 euro
3. On the door of 15

i think presales will also help us to gauge how much we need to promote extra to fill the club to the capacity necessary for the event

Erin Jeavons-Fellows Wed 21 Aug 2019 10:45AM

Yes indeed it is! :)

Cris Mon 19 Aug 2019 5:26PM

aaaahhh...., clear and reasonable; danke, meine Liebe!

Kris Tue 20 Aug 2019 12:56PM

If I'm doing it it's not going to be Eventbrite, but the FLOSS software we use for the Borderland :)

Saskia Mon 19 Aug 2019 1:55PM

Ticketing is an optional lead position & mostly consists of presale. You are correct, Cris.
We thought that it might come in handy to have a presale this time. This is due to the fact that filling the club with enough people is our main concern at the current time. It gives us an estimate and it makes the queue easier to handle.

But we also said that it is not a real issue if tickets do not happen and we only have the door for entrance.

I think some folks would like the idea of going to an event leaving all cash at home as they know it's gonna be BYO & gifting. :D

britzmaster Wed 21 Aug 2019 9:17AM

@kris I would love to learn Floss. I did ticketing at the castle 🔥🐻 and it was hard... good to learn new tools. But now I am off for Burning Man like you. And: I don“t have any programming skills... but I will try to reach out to you after the 10th....
